Dr. Chris Powell is a Lecturer in Psychology at RMIT University's Department of Health and Biomedical Sciences since 2018. His research focuses on individual difference psychology, including intelligence, personality, curiosity, cognitive function improvement, academic achievement, and systematic review methodologies. He teaches courses on research methods, quantitative statistics, and meta-analysis. Dr. Powell collaborates with industry partners on projects like BESC1466 Research Project (WOOD, Snoretox). His recent work includes supervising projects on mental health, workplace well-being, and neuroimaging studies related to learning and education.
Research Interests: Intelligence, personality dynamics, intellectual curiosity, academic performance predictors, and evidence-based meta-analytic techniques. His teaching emphasizes statistical rigor and practical application in psychology.
