Dr Chris Counihan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at Northumbria University, where he focuses on international development and education. His research explores child development, policy initiatives, and the ‘Education for All’ agenda, targeting poverty alleviation and educational empowerment in regions like India, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania. A Teaching Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), Dr Counihan integrates simulation-based learning and peer-mediated interventions into teacher education, with over ten years of experience leading global education projects.
