Chris Brennan-Horley is a Lecturer in Human Geography at the University of Wollongong (School of Geography and Sustainable Communities). He holds a PhD in Human Geography (University of Wollongong, 2010). His research integrates spatial technologies like GIS and GPS with qualitative methodologies to explore cultural and urban phenomena, emphasizing map visualizations and animations for public engagement. Active in academic leadership since 2016, he has supervised Masters/PhD students and contributed to over 15 research grants, including ARC-funded projects on critical infrastructure and pandemic urban geographies.
Education: PhD in Human Geography (University of Wollongong, 2010). Research focuses on dementia-friendly environments, creative urban spaces, and the impact of social enterprises on regional cities.
