Professor Md Neaz Sheikh is a Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Wollongong (UOW), leading the School of Civil, Mining, Environmental and Architectural Engineering. He has held roles such as Head of School (2021–2022), Deputy Head of School (2018–2021), and Academic Program Director for Civil Engineering (2011–2018). His research focuses on concrete structures, composite materials, and structural dynamics, contributing to industry codes and over 215 publications. He has supervised >25 PhD graduates and secured >$4M in research funding, including ARC grants. Current projects include geopolymer concrete innovations and sustainable construction materials.
