Jon Roberts is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Wollongong (UOW) in the School of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering. He holds a PhD (2019) and a Bachelor of Engineering (2015), both from UOW. His research focuses on numerical modeling, mechanical characterization, air pollution control, and dust suppression technologies. Roberts leads multiple funded projects, including VR-CFD training tools for dust mitigation and eco-friendly surfactant applications. He actively supervises PhD and Master’s students on topics like dust control in mining and computational modeling of hazards. His work bridges mechanical engineering with environmental and safety challenges in industrial operations.
