Chris Annibell is an Assistant Professor in the Songwriting and Production department at Berklee NYC, part of Berklee College of Music. He is a musician, DJ, electronic music educator, and multimedia technologist dedicated to fostering connection, diversity, and representation through music education and community engagement.
His expertise spans electronic music production, DJ performance, and multimedia technology. Annibell has taught at institutions including Oberlin and Long Island University, and he is the founder and co-resident DJ of Afrokinetic, a music collective focused on global rhythms and inclusive dance spaces. He also owns and operates Quiet Creator studio, supporting independent music creation.
Annibell has collaborated with prominent artists such as Erykah Badu, Bonobo, Thievery Corporation, Bernie Worrell, and Ursula Rucker. He has held residencies at major New York City venues like Le Bain, APT, and Le Poisson Rouge, and has been a guest speaker at MoMA and New York University. His recent single, "Rhythm of Love" featuring Tru Osborne, has received early support from renowned DJs including Laurent Garnier and Osunlade, and was released on Open Bar Music.
His work reflects a deep commitment to artistic innovation and social inclusion within electronic and urban music cultures. As an educator, he integrates performance practice, production techniques, and critical awareness of representation into his teaching.
He is actively involved in the New York City music scene and continues to produce, perform, and educate at the intersection of technology, identity, and sound.
