Chloe Chiou

Chloe Chiou is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery & Cancer at Imperial College London's Faculty of Medicine. She is affiliated with the MSK Lab, where she investigates motor control in trunk muscles across health and disease states.

Her research focuses on neurophysiological mechanisms of motor recovery in stroke patients, utilizing transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and MRI-diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). She also explores how alterations in trunk muscle neurophysiology relate to clinical symptoms in low back pain and spinal cord injury, with an emphasis on interventions targeting nervous system plasticity.
