China Billotte Verhoff, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Interpersonal Communication in the School of Communication Studies at Ohio University. Her research focuses on the intersection of interpersonal and organizational communication, particularly addressing systemic inequities faced by marginalized groups through lenses of stigma, support, and social justice. She examines topics such as maternity leave discourse, maternal mental health ('mom rage'), and workplace pregnancy disclosures. Her work emphasizes centering marginalized voices in communication theory and practice.
