Chihao Xu

Prof. Dr. Ing. Chihao Xu is a faculty member at Saarland University, holding the Chair of Microelectronics in the Department of Systems Engineering. He earned a Dipl.-Ing. (1986) and Dr.-Ing. (1990) in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich (TU Munich), where he worked as a research assistant for power semiconductor development (1986–1990). His industry experience spans 1991–2003 as an R&D engineer and manager at Bosch, Infineon Technologies, and Dialog Semiconductor. Since October 2003, he has led the Chair of Microelectronics at Saarland University.
