Chiara Raucea is an Assistant Professor of European Union Law at Tilburg University's Tilburg Law School, specializing in free movement of persons, migration law, and rights to family/private life. Her research examines EU legal frameworks governing mobility, refugee protection, and maritime operations.
Recent publications analyze CJEU interpretations of refugee conventions, legal implications of civilian sea rescues, theoretical foundations of democratic lawmaking, and socio-legal aspects of environmental movements in post-colonial contexts.
She teaches courses in EU Law, Migration and Rule of Law, and Fundamental Rights at undergraduate and graduate levels, while coordinating multiple course modules in the Global Law program.
