Chiara Nardon-Dep is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Verona. She holds a PhD in Molecular Sciences from the University of Padua (2013) and has conducted postdoctoral research funded by grants and scholarships. Her academic career includes roles as Assistant Professor at the University of Padua (2018) and tenure-track Assistant Professor at the University of Verona (2019) before her current position.
Her research focuses on biomedical chemistry, specifically:
- Design and development of anticancer drugs using coordination compounds
- Radioactive agents for theranostics (e.g., using Cu, Ga, Tb isotopes)
- Supramolecular architectures for targeted drug delivery
- Metal roles in cancer stem cell models
Teaching responsibilities include courses in General & Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Radiochemistry across multiple programs, including Pharmacy, Biotechnology, and Bioinformatics.
