Dr Chia-Ying (Annie) Yang is a Teaching Fellow in Language Education and Programme Director of the MSc Language Education at the Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh. She holds a PhD in Education and dual MSc degrees in Applied Linguistics and Linguistics, all from the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on language maintenance, heritage language education, and teacher agency, with a sociolinguistic and psycholinguistic lens.

Course organizer for 'Languages, Society and Education' and supervisor for MSc and PhD students. Open to PhD supervision starting February 2026 in areas like heritage language policy and EFL classroom pragmatics.
