Cheryl Wilberforce

Cheryl Wilberforce is a Secondary Partnership Tutor at the School of Education, Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), working part-time (0.5 FTE). Her role focuses on quality assurance and partnership development for initial teacher training (ITT) programs, supporting schools and fostering best practices in educational provision.

Before joining MMU, she taught in secondary schools across Wirral, Liverpool, Halton, and Cheshire. She transitioned to academia at Liverpool John Moores University, where she supported teacher CPD through the Science Learning Partnership, liaised with schools for Primary PGCE programs, and contributed to BA (Hons) Primary Education course delivery.

Her expertise centers on educator training, curriculum design, and collaborative partnerships between educational institutions and schools. She currently leads MMU’s secondary partnership development initiatives to enhance ITT quality and stakeholder engagement.
