Karen Fuller

Karen Fuller is a Senior Lecturer in Design and Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), serving as the School Partnership Lead. She joined MMU in July 2019 and became Head of ITE (Initial Teacher Education) for primary and secondary partnerships in 2020. With over 28 years of experience in secondary schools across Coventry, Staffordshire, Surrey, and Cheshire, she previously held roles including Food and Textiles teacher, Head of Design and Technology, Assistant Headteacher, Head of Year, and KS4 leader. She has also been a principal examiner for Food and Nutrition, a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) in Design and Technology and ITE, and Director of a Teaching School. She led the successful application for SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) provider status and served as its Director.

Her professional memberships include the Chartered College of Teaching and the Design and Technology Association. Her work focuses on curriculum development, teacher education, and leadership in secondary education.
