Cherry Murray is a Professor of Physics and Deputy Director for Research at Biosphere 2, University of Arizona. She holds the rank of Primary Faculty. Her career spans academia, industry, and policy, with key roles at Bell Labs (1978–2004), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Harvard University as Dean. She earned a PhD in Physics from MIT (1978).

Research & Interests: Transitioned from experimental condensed matter physics and nanotechnology to leadership roles in semiconductor R&D, national security research, and science policy.
