Chelsey Edwards

Chelsey Edwards, OTD, OTR/L, CLT, serves as Assistant Professor and incoming Program Director for the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at Huntington University Arizona (HUAZ). A founding member of the inaugural HUAZ OTD program, she has held key leadership roles including Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, Capstone Coordinator, and Director of OTD Admissions.

Her educational background includes:

• Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions
• Master of Occupational Therapy from University of North Dakota

Dr. Edwards' research centers on the scholarship of teaching and learning, with specific focus on growth mindset development, emotional intelligence integration, and cultivating student sense of belonging in healthcare education. Her clinical expertise spans acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing, pediatric sensory integration, home health, and outpatient lymphedema therapy across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.

As Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Capstone Coordinator, she has implemented innovative mentoring frameworks emphasizing multidisciplinary care and program development. Her work consistently integrates Huntington University's Christian mission with scholarly excellence in occupational therapy education.
