Kelly Grant

Kelly Grant serves as Assistant Professor and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program at Huntington University, joining the faculty in 2024. She oversees student fieldwork placements to provide practical clinical training across diverse settings including early intervention, skilled nursing facilities, school-based programs, and outpatient pediatric clinics.

Research Interests

Dr. Grant's research spans pediatric therapy, autism spectrum disorder, and hippotherapy (therapeutic equine movement), with specialized focus on disability inclusion in religious communities. Her doctoral capstone developed church-based disability ministry resources through collaborative mixed-methods research and the Beyond Suffering: A Christian View on Disability Ministry course. International service-learning in Romania (seating/mobility solutions) and China (evidence-based pediatric therapy training) informs her cross-cultural service learning expertise. Recent continuing education includes advanced certifications in hippotherapy, Beckman Oral Motor Assessment, and sensory foundations.
