Chelsea Leadley is an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of York. She holds a BSc in Psychology (2014-2018), an MSc in Investigative Psychology (2018-2019), and a PhD in Psychology (2019-2023) from the University of Huddersfield, where her thesis focused on social media and suicide note content. Her research interests include mental health on social media, emotional disclosure, and forensic psychology. She has taught at the International Study Centre and the Open University before joining York.
Her work spans topics such as smoking cessation in pregnancy, prison well-being programs, and abuse of sports officials. She has published in journals like Women and Birth and International Journal of Prisoner Health. Her teaching includes Applied Psychology, Literature Surveys, and Third Year Projects.
