Chaslee Schweitzer is an Associate Professor of Voice and Speech at Oklahoma City University's Theatre - Performance department. She specializes in vocal production, dialect coaching, and theatrical intimacy direction. Her roles include teaching, voice coaching for OCU productions, and serving as an Intimacy Director.
Education: MFA in Theatre Voice Pedagogy (University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB) and BA in Theatre: Performance (Rocky Mountain College, Billings, MT).
Research interests focus on holistic actor training, integrating vocal techniques and emotional body methods. She has collaborated with professional theatres like Lyric Theatre (OKC), Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, and Know Theatre of Cincinnati on productions such as The Play That Goes Wrong, SWEAT, and Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere. She also dialect-coached the film Wrong Turn (2020).
Professional certifications include Certified Trainer in Vocal Combat Technique and Associate Instructor of The Emotional Body Method. She is a member of VASTA (Voice and Speech Trainers Association) and studies theatrical intimacy through TIE (Theatrical Intimacy Education).
