Charlotte Tupman is a Senior Lecturer in Classics and Digital Humanities at the University of Exeter. She directs Global Engagement for the Department of Classics, Ancient History, Religion & Theology and is an affiliated academic in the Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Her research focuses on Latin epigraphy and international standards for encoding ancient texts (EpiDoc).
She co-leads the AHRC/DFG-funded project Connecting Late Antiquities and co-founded the UK-Ireland Digital Humanities Association. Tupman serves as Treasurer of the European Association for Digital Humanities and contributes to the Linked Pasts Steering Committee. She supervises PhD students in digital classics and epigraphy.
