Charlotte Pritchard

Charlotte Pritchard serves as Senior Lecturer and Course Director for the BSc Child Nursing program at Canterbury Christ Church University's School of Nursing, Midwifery, Allied and Public Health. She joined the institution in August 2020 after qualifying as a children's nurse in 2006 and gaining extensive NHS experience specializing in pediatric long-term conditions and palliative care.

Her clinical expertise directly informs her academic focus on pediatric nursing specialties, particularly chronic illness management and end-of-life care for children. As Course Director, she leads curriculum development for the child nursing program while mentoring undergraduate students through practical teaching grounded in real-world NHS experience.

Prior to academia, Pritchard developed her clinical passion through diverse NHS roles focused on vulnerable pediatric populations. She remains actively embedded in the Child Nursing academic team, contributing to the university's student-centered community from her office in the Hepworth building (Hf11), Canterbury.
