
Charlotte Noble

Charlotte Noble is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population and Community Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center’s College of Public Health. She holds a PhD, MPA, and MA. Her research focuses on health disparities, social determinants of health, and the intersection of biology and culture, with emphasis on food security, HIV, and maternal/child health in domestic and global contexts. She has conducted studies in the U.S., Haiti, Lesotho, and the Tampa Bay area.
In addition to research, Noble leads federally funded training programs aimed at mentoring underrepresented students into health professions. A recent example is the MCH Pipeline Training Program, which successfully guided students into medical schools and public health careers. She also co-leads the FarmboxRx Pilot Intervention E project funded by the Episcopal Health Foundation.
Her recent work emphasizes mixed-methods approaches to address health inequities through interventions such as urban gardens and school-based programs. Key areas of focus include adolescent health behaviors, maternal/child health policy, and culturally grounded public health strategies.
