Dr Charlotte Morris is Senior Lecturer in Education and Sociology at the University of Portsmouth, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She joined in 2020 after six years at the University of Sussex (2014-2020) and prior roles at Brighton and Anglia Ruskin Universities. Her work bridges gender and sexuality studies, higher education research, and feminist pedagogies.

Research focuses on gendered academic precarity, student mental health, and inclusive pedagogies. Key projects include a British Academy-funded study on populist discourses in universities and EU-wide work on academic gender inequality. Recent article trends examine intersectional inequalities in academia, caregiver support for doctoral researchers, and post-truth pedagogy. Collaborations span Nigeria, Sweden, and Colombia. Leadership includes co-founding the Education, Social Justice and Transformation group and external examining at Glasgow/York universities.
