Charlotte J. Hagerman is an Assistant Research Professor at Drexel University's WELL Center. She holds a PhD in Applied Social Psychology from George Washington University (2021) and a BS in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington (2014). Her research focuses on improving interventions for healthier eating and exercise behaviors.
Dr. Hagerman's work applies social psychological theories to develop strategies for long-term goal persistence, including habit formation interventions and adaptive responses to setbacks in weight control. Her research spans obesity, behavioral weight loss, motivation mechanisms, and self-compassion frameworks.
