Adrienne Juarascio is Associate Professor in Psychological and Brain Sciences at Drexel University, where she directs Practicum Training and serves as Director of Training for the WELL Center. She holds PhD and MS degrees in Clinical Psychology from Drexel and a BA from University of Pennsylvania.
Her NIH-funded research develops acceptance-based behavioral treatments for eating disorders and obesity. Current projects include digital health interventions for bulimia nervosa (ACQUIRE II), mindfulness-enhanced therapies for binge eating (COMPASS), and integrated weight management for binge eating disorder (BALANCING ACT).
Her work examines therapeutic mechanisms including emotion regulation, impulsivity, and reward sensitivity in disordered eating. Recent publications explore digital intervention design, sleep-binge eating mechanisms, and patient experiences in weight loss treatments.
