Charlotte Eost-Telling is a Research Fellow at The University of Manchester, affiliated with the School of Health Sciences and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Older People and Frailty Policy Research Unit. She holds a PhD and MSc in Ergonomics from Loughborough University and has extensive experience in global health and social care research, including roles at Unilever plc before returning to academia in 2009. Her work focuses on aging populations, health technology, and policy implementation, with particular emphasis on social isolation, healthcare workforce development, and digital health interventions.

Research Interests: Charlotte’s research integrates mixed-methods approaches to address challenges in aging populations, including technology adoption in healthcare (e.g., mHealth apps), organizational design for health systems, and cross-disciplinary methodologies. She contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health equity and digital futures.
Teaching & Mentorship: She currently teaches on the MPH and MRes Health and Social Care programs, supervising dissertations in nursing and health sciences. Her mentorship focuses on fostering evidence-based practice among future healthcare professionals.
Labs/Teams: Charlotte is a core member of two research groups:
- Digital Health and Social Care Research Group (DHSCRG): Addresses systemic challenges in healthcare through digital innovation.
- Healthy Ageing Research Group (HARG): Explores aging-related policies and interventions, including falls prevention and dementia care.
