Charli Colegate is a PhD student in the Department of Sociological Studies at the University of Sheffield, concurrently serving as a Tutor in the Academic Unit of Primary Medical Care. She holds an MSc in Medical Humanities from King’s College London and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from St George’s, University of London.

Research Interests
Her work focuses on health inequities, mental health stigma, and perinatal care accessibility. Using mixed methods, she critiques gendered constructions in healthcare policy and explores how women with severe mental illness navigate maternal healthcare systems. Current research examines stigma and risk frameworks in perinatal mental healthcare access.
