Charles Vanover is an Associate Professor at the University of South Florida. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in Library Science from Chicago State University, and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Social Policy from the University of Michigan. His research focuses on qualitative research methods, educational leadership, and performative academic careers. He has published widely, including works on transcription as inquiry and the role of theater in exploring educational experiences.
Vanover serves on the editorial boards of The Qualitative Report, Art/Research International, and Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership. His recent publications emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to qualitative analysis and the intersection of performance with academic identity.
He has presented at multiple conferences, including a 2020 presentation on teacher career trajectories through inquiry theatre. His work bridges educational theory with practical methodologies, contributing to teacher professional development and policy analysis.
