Professor Charles Mundye is Deputy Director of Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange at the Sheffield Creative Industries Institute and holds the Chair of Modern Literature at Sheffield Hallam University. His expertise spans British and American poetry, with particular focus on 20th-century works, war poetry, and interdisciplinary connections between literature and music. He holds a BA (Hons) and DPhil, and is a Fellow of the English Association (FEA) and President of the Robert Graves Society.

His research explores Ezra Pound, Robert Graves, and Welsh poetry in English. He teaches English within the College of Social Sciences and Arts, supervising PhD candidates in Twentieth Century Literature and Culture. Affiliated with the Humanities Research Centre and Culture and Creativity Research Institute, he publishes on war poetry and literary biography.
Key awards include his Fellowship of the English Association. His recent work includes analyzing Wilfred Owen's Scarborough writings and interviews with prominent poets like Ruth Fainlight.
