Charles Carithers is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Georgetown University's Center for Security Studies (CSS). He currently serves as a principal at Cornerstone Government Affairs, advising clients on national security, defense, and homeland security matters. Previously, he was a Professional Staff Member for the House Committee on Homeland Security, advising Rep. Bennie Thompson. With 11 years in the U.S. Intelligence Community, he held roles including Associate Deputy Director of Public Affairs at IARPA, Senior Policy Officer at ODNI, and Senior Intelligence Analyst in Iraq with DIA.
He holds a B.A. in Sociology from Morehouse College (2005) and an M.P.P. from Harvard's Kennedy School (2007), where he serves on the alumni board. He is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Truman National Security Defense Council.
