- Education: BSc (Mathematics & Theoretical Ecology, Dalhousie), BSc (Meteorology, Alberta), MSc/PhD (UNB)
Research interests include desert/shrubland/forest hydrology, climate change impacts, and remote sensing applications in data-scarce regions. He teaches courses on hydro-meteorological systems and climate change. Prior roles include environmental consulting at Concord Scientific and teaching at Nova Scotia Agricultural College. He splits time between UNB and Beijing, engaging in collaborative research and fieldwork in China’s northwest.
No scientific awards are listed, but his work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to environmental challenges. Advising focuses on graduate seminars and practical water/forest management training. He collaborates with international teams on desert mountain hydrology and endorheic basin studies.
