He holds a PhD in History from the University of Texas at Austin (2023), an MA in The History of Warfare from King’s College London (2008), an MA in Balkan and Turkish History, a BA in Political Sciences, and a BA in History and Archaeology, all from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research interests include the social, cultural, and political history of war and violence, state-citizen relations, and the history of ideas. His work particularly emphasizes minority experiences during wartime, conscription, labor battalions, and individual agency under imperial and national mobilization regimes. He has published extensively on the Asia Minor Campaign, Ottoman Greek Orthodox exiles, and wartime identities.
His recent publications span journal articles, book chapters, and edited volumes, with a strong focus on primary source analysis—especially ego-documents such as diaries, memoirs, and personal testimonies. His research trends show a consistent focus on war memory, minority agency, and the intersection of military and social history.
He has authored the monograph United States Policy on the Macedonian Question during the 1940s (in Greek, 2016), co-edited Greek Soldiers and the Asia Minor Campaign: Aspects of a Painful Experience (2022), and edited A Jewish Officer on the Asia Minor Front (2023), which includes bilingual English-Greek editions. He has also contributed book reviews on fascism and Yugoslav veterans.

He has been involved in collaborative research and has worked with institutions such as the Centre for Asia Minor Studies in Athens and the Jewish Museum of Greece.
