Necati ÇAYIRLI

Necati ÇAYIRLI is a Lecturer at Ege University's Department of Atatürk's Principles and Revolutionary History. Born in 1959, he emigrated from Yugoslavia (Macedonia) and has dedicated his academic career to studying Balkan history with a particular focus on Turkish communities in Macedonia.

His research interests span Turkish History, Balkan Studies, the Macedonian Question, Ottoman History, and International Relations, with special emphasis on the historical and contemporary status of Turkish communities in the Balkans.
