Chandreyi Basu is an Associate Professor in the Art and Art History Department at St. Lawrence University. She has held roles including Department Chair, Asian Studies program coordinator, and Secretary of Faculty Council. Her research focuses on early Indian art, particularly Gandharan identity, sculptural workshops, and Buddhist iconography.

She has curated exhibitions such as Environment, Health, and the Body in Traditional Paintings from Contemporary India (2023) and led field studies in Thailand (2003) and Mumbai (2019). She serves on editorial boards and updates Oxford Bibliographies Online entries on Hindu iconography.
