Prof Chaminda Pathirage is a Professor at the Brownfield Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC) within the School of Architecture and Built Environment at the University of Wolverhampton's Faculty of Science and Engineering. With over 19 years of experience in higher education (UK and Sri Lanka), he specializes in disaster resilience, brownfield regeneration, and knowledge management. He leads the £1.2Mn EPSRC-funded MOBILISE project and manages research grants totaling nearly £2 million.

His research focuses on disaster resilience frameworks, brownfield site development, and sustainable construction practices. Prof Pathirage serves as External Examiner for multiple UK/Ireland universities and holds leadership roles in editorial boards (e.g., International Journal of Knowledge-Based Organizations). He has led the Centre for Disaster Resilience at the University of Salford and directed postgraduate research for 200+ PhD students.
