Celine Jona

Dr. Celine Jona is a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the School of Health, University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC). She joined UniSC in 2022 after completing her Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) at Deakin University and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at UniSC. A registered psychologist with clinical registrar training, she has extensive experience in both public and private clinical settings.

Her research focuses on optimizing teaching methods for psychology trainees to enhance clinical and research competencies, alongside investigating mental health challenges among healthcare professionals and effective preventive care strategies. Dr. Jona coordinates key courses like PSY701 Advanced Psychological Assessment and Reporting and PSY402 Professional Practice of Psychology, emphasizing practical clinical examples to bridge theory and practice.

She actively supervises Master of Psychology (Professional) students during their practicum placements and is committed to collaborative student engagement. Professional memberships include the Australian Psychological Society, Psychology Board of Australia, and Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).

Dr. Jona's teaching and research interests intersect with stress management for clinicians, gratitude practices' impact, and reflective skill development in trainees. Her work addresses critical gaps in healthcare professional wellbeing and clinical training efficacy.
