Lia Mills

Lia Mills is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Human Factors and Systems Science, University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), currently collaborating with Transport and Main Roads on high-risk recidivism in road safety offenders through systems-thinking approaches.

Education:

• PhD, University of the Sunshine Coast, March 2025 (Neurological correlates of cyberbullying in adolescence using EEG and self-report measures)
• Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), University of the Sunshine Coast, 2020

Her research integrates social psychology, neuroscience, and systems theory to examine adolescent risk behaviors, with dual focus on cyberbullying neurology and road safety recidivism. She employs interdisciplinary methodologies including EEG analysis and longitudinal behavioral studies to address complex human-system interactions in safety-critical contexts.
