Celia Roberts

Prof Celia Roberts is a Professor in the School of Sociology at The Australian National University (ANU), specializing in Feminist Technoscience Studies. Her work spans reproduction, climate crisis, biosensing technologies, and gender studies. She holds a PhD from the University of Sydney's Gender and Women's Studies program and has held prior roles at Lancaster University and Sydney University. Key research areas include hormonal theories, epigenetics, and the sociological impacts of environmental disasters like Australia's 2019-20 bushfires. She co-leads ANU's 'Experimenting with Estrogens' network and collaborates internationally on projects such as Taiwanese reproductive care practices and neuroscientific parenting approaches.
