Celeste Del Russo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Writing Arts and Director of the Rowan Writing Center at Rowan University's Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts. She holds a BA from Wheaton College, MA from the University of New Orleans, MSc from the University of Oxford, and PhD from the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on tutor education for social justice, feminist writing center administration, and K-12 educator collaboration through her role as co-site leader for the Rowan University Writing Project.
Her work appears in Praxis: A Writing Center Journal, WLN: A Journal of Writing Center Scholarship, and Writing Program Administration Journal, as well as edited collections like Linguistic Justice on Campus and Emotions and Affect in Writing Centers. She specializes in inclusive pedagogy, linguistic diversity advocacy, and transformative teaching strategies.
Dr. Del Russo teaches courses such as Perspectives on Assessing Writing, Theories and Techniques for Writers, and Tutoring Writing. She has presented at national conferences including the National Council of Teachers of English and Rowan's New Faculty Orientation.
