Amy Woodworth is the Department Chair and Assistant Professor of Writing Arts at Rowan University's Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts. She teaches a range of courses from dual enrollment programs to graduate-level writing studies. Her research focuses on genre-based pedagogy, media literacy, racial justice in assessment, and student transition from high school to college. She holds a B.A. from New York University, an M.A. from Rutgers University at Newark, and a Ph.D. from Temple University.
Dr. Woodworth co-chairs the Philadelphia chapter of the Council of Writing Program Administrators and previously served as president of the New Jersey Writing Alliance. Her work emphasizes antiracist pedagogy, retention strategies, and learning transfer, with recent publications addressing DEI initiatives and compassionate classroom practices.
