Candace Kelley is an Associate Professor in the Department of Journalism at Rowan University's Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts. She holds an M.S. from Syracuse University and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. Her teaching focuses on broadcast writing, Media Law, and the intersection of natural hair culture with sociopolitical issues through her course Natural Hair & Tangled Politics.
Professionally, she has extensive media experience as a former anchor for PBS-affiliated NJN's Another View, and contributor to BET, UPN, NY1 News, and CN8. She provides legal analysis for Court TV and BNC, specializing in high-profile court cases.
Her research interests bridge media law, broadcast journalism practices, and sociocultural narratives in media. She actively participates in the College's academic initiatives and creative arts centers.
