Dina Rosenberg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Economics at Rowan University, part of the College of Humanities & Social Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton (2013). Her research focuses on comparative political economy, healthcare politics, health equity, innovations, post-communist states, and historical political legacies. She has published in journals like Democratization, Post-Soviet Affairs, and Social Science Research.
Her work examines how political systems influence health outcomes, the impact of populism on polarization and pandemic response, and authoritarian governance strategies. Notable projects include studies on Russian public opinion toward surveillance during crises, the Protective Policy Index (PPI) for pandemic responses, and the role of digital media in reducing government approval in Russia. She collaborates internationally on topics ranging from autocratic health policies to innovation stifling under dictators.
Rosenberg’s research emphasizes bridging academic findings with practical applications, particularly in advancing health equity. She has contributed to datasets like the PPI and co-authored analyses on federal policy responses to crises. Her teaching and scholarship reflect a commitment to understanding complex interactions between politics, institutions, and societal well-being.
