Cecilia Tullberg is an Associate Senior Lecturer at Lund Institute of Technology's Division of Biotechnology and Applied Microbiology. As Project Coordinator and Work Package Leader in the FORCE - Center for Food Resilience and Competitiveness, she specializes in lipid chemistry, oxidation mechanisms, and sustainable food processing strategies.
- Lipid characterization in biological matrices
- Enzyme technology applications
- In vitro digestion modeling
- Mild oat processing techniques
Her recent research focuses on oat lipid oxidation control through enzymatic treatments and simulated digestion systems, with publications in Food Hydrocolloids and Foods (2024-2025). This work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals for industrial biotechnology and green processing.
Scientific recognition includes:
- Young Lipid Researcher Award (2024)
- Young Scientist Award at Nordic Lipidforum (2015)
Active projects span 2024-2028, including the Swedish FORMAS-funded "More taste less waste" initiative targeting senior nutrition, and Scanoats WP4 investigating oat processing methods.
