معرفی
Cécile Dreiss is a Reader in Soft Matter at King's College London's Institute of Pharmaceutical Science. Her research focuses on self-assembly phenomena in colloidal, polymeric, and biological systems, linking macro-scale properties to nanoscale morphologies using neutron scattering and rheology. Key areas include thermoresponsive hydrogels, emulgels, cyclodextrin systems, and lipid digestion processes. She holds leadership roles in diversity & inclusion initiatives and serves as Senior Tutor for the MPharm programme.
- Education: PhD in Chemistry (Imperial College, 2003), Postdoc at University of Bristol (2003–2005)
- Affiliations: Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, King's College London since 2005
Research interests span biomaterials engineering, drug delivery systems, and food hydrocolloids. Current projects address structural barriers to educational equity through her roles in the College Attainment workstream. Her work contributes to UN SDGs related to health innovation and sustainable consumption.
Recent publications emphasize thermoresponsive materials for nasal drug delivery and engineered emulsions, with applications in biomedical and pharmaceutical fields.
