Dr. Shahriar Sajjadi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physics at King's College London, part of the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences. His research focuses on colloids, emulsion science, polymerization processes, and microfluidics. He holds a PhD from Loughborough University (1998) and has extensive postdoctoral experience at King's College and Loughborough.
Research interests include nanoparticle synthesis, drug delivery systems, and advanced emulsion technologies. Notable work involves microfluidic fabrication of alginate microfibers and porous microparticles, as well as optimizing suspension polymerization processes. Over 50 peer-reviewed articles span topics like phase inversion emulsification and nanolatex formation.
Active projects include high-throughput emulsion manufacturing and nanoparticle-enhanced solder materials. His work contributes to UN SDGs related to sustainable industrial processes and innovations.
Lab affiliations include the Biological Physics & Soft Matter group. Collaborations involve international symposiums and EPSRC-funded initiatives.
