Cathy Chase

Cathy Chase is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for Fashion Buying & Merchandising at Manchester Fashion Institute, Manchester Metropolitan University. She serves as TLC Co-Lead for Arts and Humanities and has extensive industry experience from her 16-year career at GUS/Shop Direct.

Her expertise includes:

• Business enterprise and product innovation
• Buying and merchandising strategies
• Pattern construction and garment technology
• Fashion marketing and textiles

Chase holds an MSc in Fashion Product Development from MMU and is a member of the Textile Institute (CText ATI) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
