Cathy Campbell is an Associate Professor at the University of Virginia School of Nursing and Director of Global Initiatives. Her research examines hospice/palliative care decision-making with focus on rural and racial/ethnic disparities. She develops interventions for pain management in underserved communities.
Current projects include advance care planning in Black churches and palliative care training for community health workers in Thailand and South Africa. Dr. Campbell teaches adult health nursing and leads global health initiatives.
