Toni Glover

Toni Glover is an Associate Professor and Ascension Providence Rochester Endowed Professor at Oakland University's School of Nursing. She holds advanced certifications as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (GNP-BC) and an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (ACHPN). Her work bridges clinical practice, education, and research focused on geriatric palliative care and pain management in older adults.

She investigates disparities in pain experiences linked to race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic factors, particularly in knee osteoarthritis. Her work includes developing experiential learning tools like the Comfort Shawl Project and collaborating with community hospices to improve bereavement care.

Publications: Her 50+ peer-reviewed articles span journals such as Journal of Nursing Education, American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and Clinical Journal of Pain. Recent work focuses on palliative care integration in curricula and biobehavioral factors influencing pain in chronic conditions.
