Catherine Matthews is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Business and Law, University of Brighton. She has contributed to understanding loan guarantee schemes, trade credit management, and informal financial practices in entrepreneurial contexts.
Her research portfolio includes projects like the Guild Care KTP initiative (2024–2026), investigating the social impact of adult social care interventions. She has supervised doctoral theses on mobile banking adoption in Saudi Arabia and m-commerce perspectives aligned with Vision 2030.
