Catherine Grundy is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Architecture, Technology and Engineering at the University of Brighton. She is actively involved in the Community21 – Social and Sustainable Design Research Excellence Group and the Centre for Arts and Wellbeing, focusing on socially engaged and sustainable design practices.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of design thinking, participatory design, and social innovation. She specializes in co-design methodologies, location-based games, and experiential learning, with a strong emphasis on user experience, emotional needs, and systemic impact. Her work often bridges digital interaction design with real-world applications in education, wellbeing, and environmental engagement.
